The Heartland Miata Club has invited us to join them Saturday, August 23 at their annual picnic to be held at Wyandotte County Lake Park, noon, at Shelter House 12.

The cost of this event is free other than you bringing a side dish.A sign up sheet will soon be available for us to indicate what we are bringing. I imagine it's also BYOBeverage.

This invitation comes from my efforts to "reach out" to other car clubs and include them in events of mutual interests such as the Tom Gregory Rally. You can't have too many like minded friends. The KC MINI Club is also invited.

I drove through Wyandotte County Park several months back. What a cool place. Very scenic place with a neat road winding through it. Shelter House 12 is reported to have lot's of shade!
